Status: At work

I am at my dad's golf shop right now on my dad's till computer thingy and blogging while the busy time of the shop has passed for the next half and hour or so.  It is so fun here! I love working for my dad. I make crunchies (see recipe on My Recipe Book at http://kyrasrecipebook.blogspot.com/ ) on Friday nights and dad sells them here on Saturday and Sunday mornings.  I make quite a bit, but only on busy days.  The only down thing is that the sink so small you can't run the water to fast otherwise the tiny sink OVERFLOWS!  People are so friendly here, unlike my dad's last job from where he resigned.  Oh and by-the-way, if your dad likes golf, tell him to come to Somerset West Country Club to play or maybe have lesson with my dad (he's a PGA professional and I think best teacher ever.)

  Till my next post...

Toodles! (as Paula might say on 7de laan ... hahaha!)

Oh yeah!

  Woohoo!

I finally (after many unsuccesful attempts) was able to download the Blogger app onto my phone and I'm telling you IT ROCKS!

It is super easy to use and I can post where ever I am.

Download it now on the Android market or your Apple device.

Till next time,

Kyra Guy

Start of term "cheering-up"

Oh boy, term starts tomorrow and I am not feeling to good about it.  I had to do some work on science today just to catch up on some work I had not done last term while mom went to my dad's golf shop to check on things in Somerset West.

Lets get away from the boring stuff and start up the "What do you have in common?" competition again.

My Utter Astonishment ;)

Oh my goodness! Joshua ate his Easter eggs and did not throw up!  And on top of that, had a whole Easter bunny after breakfast.  He is playing happily and has not once complained about being sick.  I am utterly astonished. (Hence the title of the post).

Poor Fifi is so incredibly frightened of the bin men and bin truck.  The truck comes and picks up our rubbish on Monday mornings and Fifi always shakes and hides under my bed or is constantly under our feet for about half an hour after they have left.

I have no idea why she is scared.  My mom says it might be because they frightened her while she was out in the front garden one time but I guess I will never know for sure...

My cousins (five of them) are coming to sleep over tonight so my aunt and uncle can have a break from them so they can enjoy their anniversary in peace.  We are still troubled about having maybe not having enough beds...

  Until my next post... goodbye!

Kyra Guy, revisiting...

Hi Readers!

I'm so sorry for keeping you guys waiting for such a long time.  I'm not going to give any excuses because people don't care and, what's the point?

Anyway, I have been re inspired by watching a movie about a young lady (Julie Powell) that blogs about a project (true story).  Her aim is to work through Julia Child's cook book called "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" in 365 days with 524 recipes.  She calls it "The Julie/Julia Project" and has many problems along the way.

So, I have been re inspired and that's it.  Point blank.

Today, (Easter Sunday) Joshua (my brother) ate twelve of his fourteen easter eggs in ten hours.  Well, good luck not throwing up tonight, Josh! I couldn't believe it!  He just sat there, stuffing tons of chocolate into his mouth.  He sat at one end of the table, and I at the other.  I watched him for about fifteen minutes, eating chocolate eggs.  When he was finished with one, he'd shoot me a cheeky look and stick his hand into the box and starts on another one.  I just laugh every time in sheer awe of how much chocolate a four-year-old boy can eat in such a short amount of time.

Well, Happy Easter and enjoy it while it lasts (which is not a very long time since it is now 09:19pm and there is only a few hours left until the day is over)!

Sincerely, (it's a bit sophisticated, but, I felt like it... got a problem?)
